Mission Statement:
The Brea Olinda High School Instrumental Music Boosters is an organization that consists of parents of instrumental music students and community members who's purpose is to further the development of the Instrumental Music Program at Brea Olinda High School. They assist the director by chaperoning events, decorating for concerts, organizing and executing multiple fundraisers, and in many other areas that are critical to the success of the program.
The boosters meet on the first Thursday of every month at 5:30pm in the BOHS Teacher's Lounge. All parents, guardians, and concerned citizens are strongly encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend these meetings but would still like to help please contact Mr. Bartell or our booster President Robyn Houts.
Fall 2009 Participation Fees:
Freshmen and first year students:
$475 (checks payable to BOHS Band Boosters). With this fee you will receive your band jacket, band T-shirt, and banquet ticket. The remainder of the fees will be used for the day-to-day operations of the Instrumental Music Department.
Returning students:
$425 (checks payable to BOHS Band Boosters). This fee will cover the cost of a band T-shirt, banquet ticket, and the day-to-day operational costs of the Instrumental Music Program.
Please make your checks payable to the BOHS Instrumental Music Boosters. If you have any questions about these fees please contact Mr. Bartell or the band fee coordinator, Bridget Somerville.
There will be additional fees for all new color guard members. These fees will go towards the purchase of their performance shoes, and other miscellaneous equipment. New members to the group will also need to purchase their own rifle, details regarding these purchases will be given to you by the guard instructors.
Current Fundraising Opportunities:
- Ink Jet Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling Program. Please donate your used ink jet cartridges and old, deactivated cell phones to the BOHS Instrumental Music Program. Please, no toner cartridges, ink jets only! All Year
